Dale Carnegie’s top 10 tips for improving your social skills

Henrik Edberg summarizes some of Dale Carnegie’s best ideas and thoughts on communicating with people. Carnegie, of course, is the author of the popular book “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. One of my favorite tips in this article is about Carnegie’s thoughts on saying positive things to other people instead of being negative by complaining, criticizing, and condemning. (Continued…)

Three Useful Tricks for Organizing Your Messy Windows Taskbar

Whitson Gordon wrote about a few of the best taskbar tricks I’ve come across. Each one is very simple, but could change how organized and productive you feel on your Windows computer. I recommend the separators trick as it has really helped me keep apps categorized on the taskbar. I came across it when I first read this article a couple of years ago, and I still use it. (Continued…)

Could this unannounced "ASUS E205SA" replace the excellent eeeBook X205TA Windows laptop?

They are calling it the new Todoist, so it’s a pretty big update with a new design and new features. From the comments so far on the blog post, users seem to like the new design, but they don’t like the new circle check boxes instead of squares. Along with the new design, comes a new brand for the company, starting with a new logo for the apps. Here’s an overview of what’s new, and links to the apps on different platforms. (Continued…)

I came across this great picture blog which uses two graphics to show the differences between people. Here are a few of my favorite ones. I’m filing this under life science for the Life Thinkist blog. So whatever you do, don’t laugh at any of these. This is serious stuff. Remember, you’re studying life and figuring out how to improve your life. Not just looking at funny pictures on the internet. (Continued…)
